Lisa Ballay is the Libertarian candidate for the U.S. House of Representatives in Louisiana’s 2nd Congressional District in the 2026 election. In this WRNO Meet the Candidates profile, distributed by iHeartRadio, she introduces herself and sets out what she would work on in Congress.
It runs about three minutes. She talks about twenty-five years in nursing and healthcare — leading teams, running budgets — and why that background shapes how she thinks about the problems in front of this district: what it costs to live here, how hard healthcare is to actually use, and how slowly disaster help arrives after a storm.
She also describes the kind of congressional office she would run: calls returned, emails answered, and a willingness to work with anyone who is trying to fix the same problem.
